![]() What makes it worse is the bottom row is very tall by default, and the gradient is very shallow so I am forced to incline it using the feet which makes it even more hollow and plasticky. This is the straw that breaks the camel's back for me as such an expensive keyboard should not be sounding worse than a $5 office keyboard. It has the same style of very thin keycaps as the K65, but the K65's case actually sounds half decent, especially for a gaming keyboard. The case/plate, stabs, and keycaps are the most hollow plasticky sounding ones I've ever heard in such an expensive keyboard. RTings measured the '2' setting at 1.4mm of pre-travel, so the advertised 0.4mm is a lie (which is fine as you would be accidentally pressing everything if the actuation distance was the thickness of a fingernail). ![]() If you want a high actuation point, a silver switch has a much better ratio of actuation to total travel at 1.2/3.4mm. Due to a long total travel distance of 4.1mm according to RTings, any high actuation point setting feels floaty with a very large post-travel. Differing actuation points would need to be on your criteria list for this feature to be worthwhile. The only keys I changed to be different were the spacebar and modifier keys. The adjustable actuation points are a bit of a gimmick, especially since the keyboard doesn't support analogue functionality which is a scam. I didn't hear it in any video before purchasing but my other keyboards have literally zero spring ping for comparison. However it has extremely loud spring ping which I'm not sure if it's caused by the case or the switches. If contactless was more widespread I'd definitely go for them for my next keyboard. ![]() The contactless switches are incredibly smooth, even better than lubed silver switches. For reference I've had a Corsair K65 Rapidfire and Anne Pro 2 with KBD fans cherry profile keycaps. I know this isn't the typical kind of keyboard the sub is interested in, so this is a quick write up for people who were curious about the hall effect switches and compatibility.
